Spunkygirl Monologues

I have a day off, but the thought of sitting around the house all day is making my skin crawl.  Normally I’d throw on some clothes and head out the door.  This morning is a little different though. It’s -22C outside! Temperatures like that take a pep talk, or 3. I’m currently on pep talk #2.

“Live” is my new personal motto and the first message of my Project365: The First Year.  I hate the idea of wasting my time, sitting at home. I’ve spent years putting things off.  Now is the time to start putting everything together- finally.

Ok, pep talk #2 is done.  Now it’s time to check the weather network for road conditions before I decide on a route.  Either way, I’m bundling up, grabbing my camera and suffering through the cold weather in search of something new and different.

** must keep telling myself that I’m not as sleepy as I think I am, and the car will be warm in no time. Winter. Mountains. Camera.  I think it’s time to pray to the photography gods.

I started Project365 when I bought my Nikon D60, then Grandma became very ill & everything was set aside. However, as I sit here reflecting on life, grandma and the future I think now is a great time to start again, this time with a new focus.

Project365: The first year- a photographic view of life after death.  My life, the life of my family and the people around me. Discovery of myself, new places, new cultures and old places.
