Rideau Canal • Ottawa, Ontario
The Rideau Canal (a World Heritage Site) is a popular spot almost any time of year. The Rideau Canal was opened in 1832, and despite the growth of the city, many of the original structures are still intact. In the spring, summer and autumn be sure to take the boat tour along the canal. It’s a great way to see some of Canada’s capital city, and the canal itself. In the winter the canal is completely frozen over and becomes Canada’s largest skating rink. So, strap on some skates and join the crowd!

I’m hoping to ice skate on it next month!
Awesome! Be sure to buy a Beavertail along the river. They are sinfully delicious!!
