Alison Gresik is a Creativity Coach, fiction writer, mother and traveler. This morning I sat down with Alison to talk about what she does, her new product ‘The Field Guide to Truth and Beauty‘, travel and writing.
Alison has a MA in Creative Writing from the University of Calgary, and is currently on an open-ended trip around the world with her family. You can read more about Alison and her job as a Creativity Coach on her website: www.gresik.ca. Alison can also be found on Twitter: @AlisonGresik.

Listen to my Interview with Alison Gresik
**The article we refer to in the interview is ‘The Upside of Loneliness- Four Essentials for a Working Retreat‘ and was featured on Location180 this past week. The article is a fabulous read for creatives who are looking to escape the noise of everyday life and find a space to work on their art, whether it be painting, writing, photography etc.
I was introduced to Alison by Colin & Tracy Burns when I arrived in Penang. Over the past 5 weeks I have had the opportunity to not only read Alison’s website, but to spend time with her and her family. Alison is a quiet woman, who has the ability to make others feel instantly comfortable. As we sat down and started to ‘warm up’ for today’s interview, I found myself opening up to Alison -which was not my intent.
One of the things I love about Alison and her website (and of her career as a creativity coach) is that no matter what mood I am in, being around Alison seems to clear my head. I’ve sat down to read her website, feeling tired and burned out and walked away feeling fresh and full of ideas. I know, it sounds kooky, but it’s true.
If you’re a creative, looking for help in re-designing your life around your art (and yes, writing is also an art), stop by Alison’s site, or send her a note.
**Alison’s new product launch, The Field Guide to Truth and Beauty, will be launching within the next few days.

Oh Pam. You are a woman of action! It was such a treat to have a long conversation with you without distractions under the age of 5.
You strike me as a very resilient, determined woman who moves ahead even when the going gets tough ~ I bet your readers love that about you. Plus, you played paper airplanes with my son at dinner, so I know you’re a sweetie too. I hope our paths cross again soon!
